The summer is here at last and I hope you are now well into the peak summer season. This year for me so far has been quite different to previous years, especially with wedding bookings. These days, I don’t shoot as many weddings as I used to, but the inquiries being received are still for this year. I even had one today for an August wedding!! I remember the days just a couple of years back when August weddings were booked at least 12-15 months in advance. Couples are now leaving it pretty much to the last minute. I guess with all the doom & gloom, couples want to save up and then commit to booking a wedding.

Now this is quite weird, I was checking my Google keywords & phrases and I found quite a number of hits from this key phrase: “Indian women dancing wedding “. I’m not complaining at all about the free traffic to my site, never thought some people will Google such a key phrase.

Father’s Day is upon us soon and I hope you have started your marketing campaign.  I wanted to do something different this time and not the usual session with canvas or frames. So I thought I’d offer something different which appealed to someone whose dad is a photography nut. A photo training session where you as a photography expert will teach the dad some cool tricks & techniques on how to take better portraits of his family. You may think that if I teach my tricks of the trade, they may not come back to me again. Trust me they will. Its the same when you see the can’t cook won’t cook cooking programmes. We’ve never stopped going to the restaurants just because we’ve learned a recipe or two watching a TV programme.

I’ve been on Twitter for a little while now. Initially I didn’t like it that much  but I’m really getting into it and enjoying Tweeting whenever I can. I’m using HootSuite for Twitter and it really is a cool app. You can see stats of how many clicked through to your site and which posts were more popular than others. Plus you can schedule your posts for any hour of the day. So if you see my Tweets at 4.00am, rest assured I’ll be in my bed and let Hoot Suite do all the work.
